The Hougland Violin Studio was established in 1982 when I began teaching violin lessons in Lee's Summit, Missouri. I teach both Suzuki and traditional violin and viola lessons to students from Lee's Summit and the surrounding areas of Kansas City, Blue Springs, Raytown, Independence, Raymore, Belton, Lone Jack, and Warrensburg.

I currently teach 30 students who have made great progress in learning violin.My students consistently go on to earn high ratings at state competitions, places in competitive orchestras and college scholarships.
